Charity Badge Contest

This March Carrie's Heart participated in the first Charity Badge contest through Six Degrees and Network for Good. Kevin Bacon, through his nonprofit Six Degrees, offered $10,000 matching grants for the individuals who could get the most donations on their charity badge during the month of March.

Dan Shoemaker, GM of TGI Fridays in Katy, chose Carrie's Heart as his charity of choice for his family & friends to give to in support of his efforts in competing in the Lone Star Half Ironman. Dan finished the race in 6 hrs 24 min and he helped to raise $145 through the Charity Badge & PayPal donations. Way to go Dan!

Although Carrie's Heart was not a winner of a matching grant, we did raise an extra $365 dollars for our sponsored children in the Yucatan! Thank you to all who participated!

You can still check out & badge and donate anytime by going to the Charity Badge link on the Carrie's Heart homepage or clinking the direct link below.
